Who Will Be the Eleventh Doctor?

As io9 notes here, David Tennant is still the guy playing Doctor Who. Even so, people in Britain are starting to talk like he isn’t.

As such, they’ve developed some ideas about who might be playing the Eleventh Doctor. Trainspotting star Robert Carlyle seems to be the main contender for the role.

Personally, I think he’s a great choice, though my only reservation might be his resemblance to the current Doctor and my affection for Tennant’s version of the character – I like his happy-go-lucky, sneakers-wearing innocence too much to see him have to regenerate.

I’d also like to add my dislike for another name bandied about – Jason Statham.

Really? No, thanks.
